Smakkdown United

Retired!
Race:  Chaos Dwarf
Coach:  Troels J
Description
Actually, Smakkdown Utd was never supposed to have been a BB team. Zorglor 'the Boiler' M'Kdarnaltt originally left his native Black Fortress to introduce the puny sub-creatures of the Old World to finer Chaos Dwarf cuisine (and hopefully earn enough gold to buy his own world-conquering army). He opened a restaurant ("M'Kdarnallt's") but there was little demand for either of his two dishes: 'Mixed Entrails' or 'Boiled Pulp'. Falling on hard times, he closed the place down and led his staff on to the BB court to exact revenge...

Get Ready to Rummmmble!!!
The form curve of Smakkdown Utd seems to be on a rollercoaster ride to the top: from absolute league prügelknabe in our first season, to a place in the quarter-finals last season where we only lost 1-0 AND it was to the mummies who later became the league champions.
At the start of this season, we have a full team of Big Hats ready to rock, whereas in the old days our Bull Centaurs and Chaos Dwarfs seemed to have the life expectancy of a fluffy pink rabbit at a Khorne Warrior's stag night.
So buckle up, and strap on your helmets, cause you're in for A ROUGH RIDE!!!
(Unless of course we wind up in the upper bracket, in which case we would like to stress the fact that we are a very fragile and inexperienced team, which should be handled very gently, and not subjected to any sort of violence, including Fouls, Blitzes or Blocks)

Dark Day in the Dwarves' Diary of Death
I can't really bear to go into too many details, it hurts too much... Oh, alright: In increasing order of whining the basic facts are: Getting a Blitz against at the most critical time, losing 0-2 even when the victory was within my grasp, a Chaos Dwarf and a Bull Centaur both dead (even with my apo performing CPR), and only 10.000 in winnings - if that's not enough to shed a little manly tear, what is? But the saddest part was that the score at least was entirely my own fault. The lizards started as receiving team, but didn't manage to score. Start of the second half, score 0-0, and we were in possesion of the ball, while also having three players more on the pitch, all things seeming too good to be true, when a sudden lightning bolt from the lizard dug-out flattened the Hobgoblin with the ball. At that moment in time the Smakkdown coach's brain seemed to turn into some sort of panic-goo, franticly doing all the wrong things at once, while in three consequtive turns forgetting to move the turn maker. Not good under pressure, no siree...
All in all, we take a littlen comfort in the fact that the order and justice of the universe was upheld, since the best coach actually won. AND it was hands down the most dramatic and nerve-wracking game of Blood Bowl I have ever played (still suffering from a tad of Post Traumatic Stress Disorder), with every die roll being absolutely critical.I think my nerves are too fragile for the frenzy of the board-gaming world...

Tonight we dine - in HELL!
Beware, thinlings and pussy sub-races: The Top Hats are on, and the lid is of the Jar of Doom, The Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse have ridden forth, and we are surfing ahead of them on a wave of succes and the blood of mangled enemies.
Tonight the time has come for the feeble vikings to feel the pain. Heads will roll, blood will flow, and spiked fist will be shoved up bodily cavities.
So buckle up, Great Danes - you are in for a ROUGH RIDE...

Well, that was it
So ends the first season for the pointy-hatted prygelknaben (perhaps the name of my next team?). They have well and truly earned their vacation at the Zharr-Niggurath Community Hospital, where they will try to lick their wounds a bit before coming back for more in the 20th season. Check out the match notes for our last games - it must be one of the longest match reports of one of the most insignificant games ever. For your viewing pleasure...
No, I think my next team will be called Hammer Time, by the way. How was that dance again?
