Just above the cruciel amount of 20.000 fans showed up to see this, seemingly unimportant match. The DoM's needed a 5-0 victory to take the lords place in the play-offs.
The game started with the lords kicking. And soon the game was underway with the dwarfs loosely protecting their ballcarrier, and the lords pushing the outer limits of the cage, and trying to foul out Mary "Cow" Grudgebearer. Then in their second turn, the DoM's showed what kind of play brought them to the final in the last season. First Uznai "Unholy" Stonecarver blocked Elmo of Doriath and killed him!!! But he was saved by the apo, and the lords felt a little safe. But then Uznai "Unholy" Stonecarver blitzed Andir of Lorien and killed him. 2 Kills in the second turn. But this was not enough, and after Kringu "The Cunning" had knocked over wardancer HaldirBupu Sadeye fouled him and he was BH. 3 cas in one turn, the lords where greatly reduced in numbers. Only Seven left on the field (one KO'd).
The next two turns the lords took revenge as they managed to foul out both bullcentaurs, this did, however result in Elmo of Doriath getting thrown out.
Even though the DoMs didn't plan to stall, the Lords used a few plays to delay the TD until turn 8, where the DoMs scored. 1-0. The Elves then had one turn to Block the DoMs since Denethor Son of Lenwe had been KO'd and a one-turn īTD thus was impossible. But just as the lineups where ready, the DoMs blitzed KO'ing 2 of the lords players.
The first half ended 1-0, 5-2 (2-0). The second half was quite quickly over, the lords only chance was to lure the DoMs to go for their ballcarrier, so that they might find a hole in the other side of their defenses. This succeeded twice in spite of the DoMs rolling Perfect defense on the lords first recieving. After the score 2-2 by the lords in the end, the last turn was upheld by a riot. So not a single elf or dwarf was hurt in the second half.
The game gave 30k and ekstra FF for the DoMs, while the lords got 0k and -FF, along with a new niggling, and a dead player. Great game for the fans of BLOOD............................bowl.
