Match notes
A horrible match for Silverado Snakeskins. The Dorfs had cleverly used their inducements to procure 2 bribes, a blunderbus, a chainsaw and both a re-roll and and a bloodweiser babe. This gave them both a lot of men and a much needed re-roll for the game.

The lizzies won the coin toss and decided to recieve, which turned out very bad. Changing weather just as the game started resulted in pouring rain, which meant that the lizzies didn't pick up the ball until turn 5. Of all their secret weapons, the dorfs only started with the deathroller on the pitch, which effectively shut of a side of play for the lizzies. with push/push, Skull/push, Skull/push, Skull/Push on their three first blocks and their blitz, the Dorfs still had their backfield closed off, so the skinks had to dodge through Tackle players tackle zones. so 1-re-roll-1 and it was the dwarfs turn. They started by Killing a saurus with their first pow, who was apothed back to life in the reserve box.

Long story short, the dorfs kept closing off their backfield, and very disciplined kept the lizards from any free runs, so with dodges, and GFI's the re-rolls were gone by turn three, and the ball wasn't picked up untill turn 5. In this time the lizzies had broken armor many times, but a total of 0 KO's or injuries had followed, and with only 10 men on the field during pouring rain, it began to look grim...

A hail mary, and an attempted pick up later, the dorfs could blitz the lonely skink, and the first half ended with a big fat nothing and a crying lizzie coach.

The second half was full of secret weapons, and the dorfs were everywhere. A blunderbuss backfirering gave the lizies an early chance, but the first dodge by a skink (no tackle) resulted in a turnover. The dorfs picked up the ball and semi-caged their runner on LoS, but a lateral run by a skink supplied a tackle zone, for the ST3 skink to blitz with two dice. This allowed another skink to pick up the ball and run for freedom. The dorfs could only reach him with a blitzer with a GFI...

Now here's a little piece of information. A Dwarf blitzer does not have tackle which means that in order to get a skink down they must roll a clear down or a both down, so equal to a 5+ with a re-roll... exactly the same chance as a no-break-tackle saurus dodging with a re-roll.

With a choice of clear down/clear down, the lone skink was stunned, and the dorfs could (easily despite the rain) pick up the ball, and bring it back. In the meantime they KO'ed the krox, and BH another Saurus and a skink. The Lizzies still had a chance to take down the ball carrier and get to saftety, but it required four 3+ dodges (2 against tackle) with a re-roll and dodge skill and two GFI's with sure feet... first dodge was 2/1 and the hail mary skink died...

The dorfs tried their best, but couldn't get far enough down the field to score and in a desperate last turn move the skinks had one more chance to score, but the first GFI roll was a 1 and the game ended 0 all...

Despite constant whining from the lizard coach the Dorf Coach had great discipline, and kept the lizzies away through meticulous positioning, and intelligent defense, which, of cource, nobody likes, so fuck him!
