Match notes
Undeads vs. Skaven is always a setup filled with hate. Too much mighty blow vs. too much speed! To help them stop the speedy little runners Undertakers had hired a wizard.

And then the match could begin with Undertakers kicking to DR. A quick KO, but no hole in the defence meant that DR settled for a safe keeping of the ball far down pitch. But when Buddha for the first time should use his newly grown extra arms he completely failed the pick-up!

With three runners close together the wizard could wait no longer and threw a fire ball, but only Jesus were knocked down, so a complete waste of firepower so early in the match. Soon Buddha did manage to retrieve the ball.

Mr. Foul really tried to be sneaky and fouled two times. The second time he did manage to KO God but the loud crack of the armour breaking send the sneaky git out. But when low agility line rat Thor B tried to dodge from a mummy he fell BH. So 9 vs. 9 on pitch!

But another KO left DR one short but with their speed they managed to get the ball to Jesus within scoring reach with a few turns to go. But then everything worked for Undertakers and they blocked the way completely. Buddha had to take a one dice block to give Jesus and Fallen Madonna a chance to dodge out. And soon Fallen Madonna was down pitch ready to help Jesus, but when the latter was almost free the mummy managed to stop him (double 1) and the ball was on the ground.

Mr. J. Khemri retrieved the ball and ran towards DR’s EZ. But Holy Spirit would hear none of this and came leaping after him and with help and daunting him self up to it he became stronger than the ghoul and took him clean down. The ball was free and out came Jesus this time managing to get the ball ready for the pass, but the whistle was almost blowing, and there were too far to throw to Fallen Madonna, so he had to aim one pace short and hope for a lucky scatter. The long bomb was bang right on target, and unbelievably the ball actually bounced to Fallen Madonna. But as everyone held their breath Fallen Madonna also became too surprised and failed the catch miserably.

At least it prevented Undertakers from scoring and the last turn foul that KOed Zeus had no effect as he and God woke up for 2nd half where DR could still field 10 rats.

2nd half began with Mr. J. Khemri blitzing Fallen Madonna SI, but suddenly they had left a door open for Holy Spirit. This weird runner came leaping in to Razguhl and daunting him self to be as strong as this pumped up Ghoul he attacked, at first it he seemed to be only a push but with some encouragement from his team he did managed to wrestle the blodger down. The ball was free in two TZ, but Jesus did not care and soon he had dodged his way past several players into the cage and took the ball and dodged out. But then when he intended a last dodge before a pass far down pitch, he was tackled by All Pain no Gain.

Undertakers retrieved the ball and continued to foul Holy Spirit stunned a few turns. Thus in the end DR did not try to stop the TD but ensured instead that their two fastest runners where ready for the last turn, which came right after Razguhl scored for 1-0. But just before this Undertakers had used their second last RR on a block by All Pain no Gain on Frej B. This resulted in a SI on the line rat, but it proved fatal later…

Because even with only 7 rats on pitch, DR had a decent chance to one turn with the setup made by the Undeads! A pitch invasion could have ruined everything, but only a line rat in second line were stunned whereas none on LoS where, and then three Undeads in the EZ line opening for an easy stroll to the TD. After an blitz that pushed Holy Spirit into scoring reach, Jesus could now dodge out and get the ball to him. And soon it was 1-1 by Holy Spirit without spending one of the three RR left.

This meant that DR came in to overtime with 3 vs. 1 RR, which could have been 2 for Undertakers, but of course that would also have meant there would have been one more line rat on pitch. As it was now it where 9 vs. 11 in overtime.

Undertakers received and grinded their way down pitch, the ball with Razguhl. Finally DR kicked back when Zeus BH menace All Pain no Gain but he regenerated. Just before he should score Razguhl found him self blocked by no other than God and Jesus. God was not easily moved, so instead the Undeads blitzed Zeus down so RIP Kabell came free for a hand-off. This as well as him running all he could to score for 2-1 worked without any effort. And DR had used some of their reserves to make it difficult. The ghoul learned his first skill from this.

When they then again tried a one turn, the blitzing Loke almost took down instead of pushing Anton so another RR was used and double skull came up! No TD and now 1-1 in team RR.

DR received and had all three runners in TD reach with the ball safe in Jesus arms. And it was then easy for Holy Spirit to get the ball from Jesus and dodge to the EZ. But just when he went over the EZ line he almost tripped and there went DR’s last RR but the tying TD for 2-2 was a reality.

And there where plenty of time for both teams to score a winning TD! However, already when Undertakers Anton handed the ball to top ghoul Razguhl did they use the match last RR. And a simple dodge past a mummy would give a chance of a two dice blitz from Holy Spirit, but this failed of course.

The ball was now moved up pitch ready to soon be handed to RIP Kabell in scoring reach, and when God failed a go for it to put his TZ on Razguhl Undertakers was just (as Fallen Madonna in the end of first half) a simple catch from winning the match. But nooooo! The pressure was too much for RIP Kabell and the ball ended on the ground and the Undertakers coach cursed himself for spending a RR on an indifferent block late in 2nd half!

So even after overtime the match ended tied 2-2 and a penalty shoot out was needed. Undertakers coach tried all his four dice to find the highest rolling, whereas DR’s coach just took his black dice of death, and then they threw down the dice. The dice where hidden, but then Undertakers coach lifted his cup and it was a 5… But DR’s dice was a 6 and they won the shoot out after having been behind throughout the match.

A very exiting match with lots of unimaginable improbabilities and just three lucky events for the winners in an otherwise 24 turns long and unkind match. 1) The one turner with pitch invasion that helped. 2) The failed catch in turn 24, and 3) Winning the penalty!

The MVP went to Anton and Frej B. The line rat learned wrestle from this (although he could have taken back one of his two lost points of agility...). He earned it for cheating the Undeads to use the RR, which they then sourly missed towards the end of the match. He took a hit for the team as they say!
