Only eleven elves vs. twelve rats, and to even the odds a babe for Renegades. And the elves receive in the pouring rain.
Several Renegades makes it into scoring position, but when Oldbirch Longleaf tries to block he falls down himself. This makes a large opening in their defence, and they become rather pressed.
In the end they have to go for the quick TD in spite of the rain. And this seems unlikely when Pete W has trouble with the pass, but he makes it and The Talented mr Nobody takes it in the rain and runs all he can for the 1-0 lead.
DR looks in great shape until the bad weather causes a pitch invasion of angry elves who takes out five rats stunned, four of these on the LoS, and in the melee one of the two journeyelfs are also stunned.
Luckily for DR Jesus stays on his feet and manages to get the ball safe. And next turn he enters a cage protected by Zeus and with both him and Holy Spirit in scoring reach. But a great leap and with equal strength Jean-Claude Forfanden d.2. tackles the runner down next to the side line. The ball goes into the fans who throws it almost to the elfs own EZ. And only the other wardancer Bruce Willysøvndal can reach it. But the rain makes it too slippery and he fails to get it.
At this point the rat coach has moved his counter, again, and is thus called for an IP. While he simmers over this Holy Spirit almost makes the impossible happen as he dauntless attack Bruce Willysøvndal pushing him free of the ball, and then a simple pick up and a tying TD, but no the rain makes the ball slip through his fingers, and no RR…
Bruce Willysøvndal then frenzies the now weak Holy Spirit into the crowd for a BH and picks up the ball. And Jesus cannot easily reach him. The rats then tries to stop the elves, but in the end they are too few with also God KOed by Joan of Ass in an early foul after he where stunned in the pitch invasion. Thus Bruce Willysøvndal manages to run the last yard for a late TD for 2-0. He learned tackle from that!
While the elves setup for the last drive of first half, the rain stops and this enables Jesus to obtain the ball from Fallen Madonna after Buddha's first completion of the day to her.
And a fantastic blitz with dodge into two TZ and an even strength block sees God subsequently push Jesus in to scoring position. And at the same time he tackles Ingwë BH. But it is too hard for Jesus as he needs to dodge through 4, 3 and 1 players TZ to get through and he fails already on the first attempt. So 2-0 for Renegades. But now DR is 11 vs. 10.
Another injury this time more likely when Zeus SI Joan of Ass MNG and it looks good for the rats. The ball is passed to Jesus by Buddha, and next turn Jesus passes it on to Fallen Madonna. She almost fails the catch; however, she makes it over the EZ line by pushing it all she can for 2-1.
There is though no stopping the Renegades who easily scores for 3-1 by The Talented mr Nobody again.
Once again Jesus obtains the ball from Buddha and next he passes to Fallen Madonna, but this time she really fails the easy catch. Luckily Bruce Willysøvndal once again fails a pick-up even without the rain (two double ones from each coach). In an effort to make things better Fallen Madonna almost takes herself down when trying to block Pmg the Picker. But even after this Jesus keeps his head cool and gets the ball out of two TZ, dodges through them and out and then even with Pmg the Picker pass blocking him he makes the pass to God who is free for the 3-2 TD.
There is still time to tie the match, but once again everything works out for Renegades and Jeg er Mega Bitter!! is not that so much now, that he has scored his first TD and ensured the 4-2 win for the Woodies.
In the last turns DR is not even trying to score, but the completion by Buddha is made, even to Fallen Madonna and he thus became a star player popping out two extra arms.
Of course Zeus for the fourth time tried to blitz Pmg the Picker but this time he could not even push him. Thus Oldbirch Longleaf went for a final blitz on the clawed vermin, and then went down with a Timber trying to get there, getting stunned!
Joan of Ass received the MVP for Renegades for fouling God KO and getting SI, and Brage A got his for some reason?
Both teams make it to the play-off, however, DR needed another team to loose their cross for this to be ensured, since they took such a bad defeat!
