In a blizzard the Orc Lovers kicked the ball to the Divine Rats. To help them the Orcs had hired pogo goblin Scrappa Sorehead and a bribe to keep him on the pitch.
But a much more important player was taken out in the very first blitz of the match, as Zeus came out of the snow and put in all the teams effort to take down star BOB Bubba Bonehead. And it was a good choice because he became injured to last through next match too. With him out of the way, it was easy to secure the ball down the right side of the orcs pitch. A good defence made it difficult to score, but then Jesus just ran to the opposite side of the pitch and handed the ball to Holy Spirit who next turn ran in for the TD for 0-1.
As the weather turned more pleasant, the ball was kicked close to the LoS. The orcs decided against picking it up and leaving it covered in 3 TZ and thus made the same mistake as the last orc team meeting DR. Soon Holy Spirit had blitzed a player down into the ball. It bounced behind the remaining orcs in to two TZ. But this did not daunt Jesus who dodged 5 times to get to the ball, grabbed it, dodged out past a player and passed to a waiting Madonna who where now caged of from the orcs. And without any serious attempt from the orcs she ran it in for 0-2 the next turn.
Still with half a half left, the orcs could score, and Scrappa Sorehead was kept on pitch with the bribe. But instead of using him to increase the chances of scoring he was used to foul (to no avail) and only Zorglub the Great made it down pitch to get a chance, and not before Zeus cut down Frauke killing her in the process. He was then KOed and finally the orcs kicked back as Svend Sved BH Thor B, but these efforts took all the teams practice, and in the end Zorglub the Great failed to dodge past Jesus and it was 0-2 after first half, and this time Scrappa was thrown out!
A tie would not be impossible for the orcs, but a nice kick by Loke and the ball ended right on the LoS. This halted the orcs offence as Zorglub the Great had to run sideways to pick it up. And then two turns in a row Holy Spirit makes it to the carrier and takes the ball from him (first it bounced to Buckingham Immergeil who were then stripped of it the next turn). But in the end even Jesus didn't dare try to get to the free ball, and eventually Kynde kurveflet obtained the ball and is then heavily guarded.
But all this has taken its time, and the cage is only moved slowly down pitch, and before AoL gets a chance to score, their hopes of tying has gone, and instead they draw the time out. On the way Kynde kurveflet even BH claw menace Zeus who tried to get in the way. In the last turn the thrower could have been in trouble as God seemed to refuse to let him out of his diving tackle zone, but finally the runner is taken down, and Kynde kurveflet reduces to 1-2 in the last turn
A perfect defence renders it almost impossible for DR to one turn, and with only a 1 TD defeat the Orcs remain in front of DR in group B. (2-0 or 3-1 and they would have changed positions, so the last TD was important enough.)
Although the troll Anton Adams did not inflict casualties he almost never failed anything and made KOs and for that he received the MVP, whereas Loke took the MVP of the rats for his two perfect kicks that enabled the victory. He learned tackle from this!
