Last seasons champs did not get a bunny ear to the ground in this match, that saw the Divine Rats break their defence twice to get to 3-0 (hattrick by Holy Spirit) before BBB managed a single TD. And then DR had enough nerve to let a line rat finish off the game for 4-1.
In pouring rain Jesus managed a pass to Holy Spirit for the first TD in turn 3. A failed dodge two turns later released the ball on DR’s pitch and it was no problem for Jesus to scope it up and run to safety. A foul by Tyr BH Maja Tærsker but the teams apo healed her for next drive. And thrower Ko Π took revenge by BH Muhammad in his first match after just 5 turns. No apo for him though!
DR made their way down pitch and God BH Anna Krohn in the process, before Jesus handed the ball to Holy Spirit. In the last turn Jupiter got more seriously back at Ko Π breaking her collar bone, but one of the hired apos tried to cure her, but not being as good as the teams own apo, she only managed to reduce the injury to a serious concussion, so the thrower will miss next match. From this event Jupiter became even better at tackling! And then Holy Spirit scored for 0-2 in the last turn of 1st half.
2nd half was no better for BBB and although the weather had improved they had trouble with an early pass and that was the reason it was not caught. And then it was no problem for Holy Spirit to obtain the ball, and next turn his hattrick was a reality, and he has now become really dauntless.
Finally the bunnies managed to do something by getting the ball far down the Divines pitch, and even though the ball carrier was downed, the scatter was caught by Ritt Meister who also with her nerves of steel managed to pass it to Maja Tærsker for the bunnies sole TD. 1-3.
After a riot over this (by the DR fans? Who outnumbered the bunny fans) left only 3 turns the victory was secured for DR, who celebrated this by letting Tyr score the last TD for 1-4 even though Holy Spirit could have made it 4 in a row, as he handed the ball off for the convincing victory. But in this way Tyr learned to be even dirtier at fouling… (Two bunny linos also earned new skills from the numerous completions made by the team during the game.)
